From small scale, agile production to mass production at ultra-high speeds, our range of capping systems cater to all output demands. Every machine we produce is tailored to your requirements to find your perfect balance between cost and performance.

How It Works

Our capping presses convert reel-fed foil into closures (or caps) in your production facility. These caps are punched & formed within a tool unit and are typically delivered as a single stream of caps for application onto containers immediately after filling.

More Than Foil

Our foil capping systems bring game-changing benefits in package aesthetics, sustainability, accessibility, seal integrity, ROI, supply chain survival and more. We can design customised closures that deliver on the packaging drivers that matter most to your brand.
Blazing the Trail.

Hermes

Blazing the trail in foil closure technology, Hermes will revolutionise the way you integrate foil cap production into your filling and packaging lines by delivering ultra-high speeds.

But speed isn't Hermes' only industry-defining feature. You can also run multiple cap sizes by utilising quick-change chute parts and even service your equipment while it's still running.

With dual, triple and quad tool unit configurations, you have the potential to produce up to 4 different cap sizes simultaneously to support multi-container line layouts. Or you can run the same cap sizes on multiple tool units to achieve maximum speed.

Alternatively, you can use the tool units on one side of the machine whilst you service the other. That of course means you can maximise production efficiencies and minimise downtime.

Hermes also comes complete with balanced tool unit technology. Rotating counterbalances cancel out the reciprocal motion of the tool unit therefore reducing vibrations, minimising noise, enabling flawless high-speed operation and ensuring the longevity of machine parts.

The Next Step In Capping Innovation

Hermes takes the next step in dynamic line speed matching to better support your product flow with variable running speeds, enhanced chute monitoring and tighter cap transport control.

And there is no longer any need to build up a reserve supply of foil caps in the chute with caps being produced on demand to match a varying container rate. This not only reduces start-up time but also allows full production to begin almost immediately.

The lack of a large cap reserve in the chute avoids potential cap damage and UV sterilisation expiry issues. This in turn reduces cap waste, increases efficiency and lowers production costs.

Unlocking Potential.

Proteus

The Proteus capping press allows you to maximise the potential of your CP machine by bringing your cap production in-house.

Proteus can produce up to 150 flat or shaped caps per minute via an electric servomotor-powered punch and die tool. Reusable cartridges are filled with foil caps which can then be loaded into a CP model for sealing. Depending on the foil thickness, each cartridge can hold up to 3,000 caps.

Interchangeable tools and cartridges can be fitted to produce different shaped and sized caps as required meaning you can cap and seal multiple packaging formats with one widely configurable system. And it's even easier to change the embossed designs on your caps by swapping in different dies within Proteus' optional embossing tool.
Seamless Production.

H1

H1 is the most compact and cost-effective solution from the Hermes generation. Designed for medium-to-large-sized production lines, it runs at speeds up to 750 caps per minute.

Color-coded interchangeable tool units and chute inserts ensure the Hermes H1 Press can handle multiple cap sizes with simple changeovers to keep your production running smoothly.

With an automatic splice system, the H1 Press enables production to continue non-stop - even during foil reel changes. And an automatic foil alignment system ensures that the foil is always fed correctly through the tool unit.

H1 can also be supplied with the optional Synchroprint (tm) system, which ensures that printed logos or text on the foil always coincide with the centre of the caps. It is also compatible with an optional foldback tab system to enhance the quality of your package, consumer experience and accessibility.

This system comes complete with balanced tool unit technology. Rotating counterbalances cancel out the reciprocal motion of the tool unit therefore reducing vibrations, minimizing noise, enabling flawless high-speed operation and ensuring the longevity of machine parts.

Breaking Boundaries.

H2

H2 occupies the same footprint as H1 but packs in twice the functionality and twice the potential speed - reaching up to 1,500cpm.

By having two tool units mounted rather than one, the H2 press offers not just increased productivity, but also a greater degree of production flexibility.

When utilized with a variety of chute configurations, this system can run two different cap sizes through an inserted chute, provide caps to two unique lines simultaneously or combine the flow of caps from each tool unit to double the output of an H1.

Each tool unit runs as an independent head with its own foil management system, meaning an individual unit can be isolated to allow maintenance to be carried out on one head while the other is still in production.

MD Press

The MD Press is a cost-effective capping solution designed for small-to-medium-sized production lines running at up to 300 caps per minute.

With colour-coded interchangeable tool units and chute inserts, the MD Press can handle multiple cap sizes with simple changeovers to keep your production running smoothly.

The MD Press is available with an optional splice table that speeds up foil reel changes. The splice detection sensor automatically prevents caps from being cut into the splice tape, ensuring the maximum number of high-quality caps without wasting foil.
